New FEMA Flood Maps could affect your clients. These new Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) for Jefferson Parish will go effective February 2, 2018.

To help you better understand where the changes are occurring on the new flood maps, more about the Newly Mapped Procedure and Grandfather rating options, Policy Conversion and retaining customers whose risk is reduced, impacts of past reform legislation, and using new tools and resources to assist you, Jefferson Parish has partnered with FEMA to hold two Flood Insurance Workshops (East and West Bank). This information is also valuable to real estate professionals, lenders, builders, and surveyors. This registration link is specifically for the West Bank location on Nov. 29. As an added bonus, you will receive Continuing Education Credits! The Louisiana Department of Insurance and the Association of State Floodplain Managers will offer CECs. You will need to confirm yout name and email for ASFPM and provide us your LA P&C License number and agency name for Insurance credits.

Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. to allow us time to collect information for CECs and the seating of our guests.
